Andrew Hutchinson was won numerous awards for both writing and blogging. His debut novel was published internationally by Random House in 2007 and the film rights were purchased by Hugh Jackman’s Seed Productions. The book won the Victorian Premier’s Award, the Canberra Critics Circle Award and was shortlisted for the Kathleen Mitchell Award for debut fiction. His writing blog won the Words and Writing category in the Australian Writers’ Centre ‘Best Australian Blogs 2014’ competition, despite having been started only six months prior to the awards judging. His social media and digital marketing content has been published on Social Media Today, Business 2 Community, the Hootsuite blog, Firebrand Talent’s ‘Ideas Ignition’ blog, and has been featured on LinkedIn’s ‘Pulse’ content platform, among others. These posts have generated, on average, close to a thousand social shares each, helping establish his profile as a leading writer in the field. His professional experience is in media monitoring and evaluation – he worked for more than 11 years as an operations manager at the Asia Pacific region’s leading media monitoring company iSentia (formerly Media Monitors), overseeing the production, training and development of more than 150 staff across three countries. He’s based in Canberra, Australia.
